Soundal – Leucaena (Leucaena leucocephala & L. diversifolia)

Subabul – Soundal (Koobabul) is a tree type fodder

It will take a minimum of 5 to 6 months to have the first harvest since it is necessary to let the tree grown enough (3 cm thick bottom).

Can have subsequent harvest after 40-50 days depends on the growth of the tree and weather season.

This is suitable for very dry condition but needs to let the tree grow for two years to have firm roots before the first harvest.

80-100 tons of fodder can be produced if there is enough water supply

In the water scare areas, 40 tons of fooder can be produced during rainy days.
